Below are the nominaton categories for Torch Awards and Leadership Awads Night. Please submit your nomination no later than Friday, March 2nd, 2012 at 5:00 pm. The nominaton form is attached below. Please send all nominations to: fsunrhh_gmail.com.
1. Best Overall Community Service Program: This award exemplifies the program that best fostered Community Service within their residence community within the academic year.
2. Best Overall Educational Program: This award exemplifies the program that best advocated educational promotion within their residence community within the academic year.
3. Outstanding Freshmen Leader: The recipient of this award must have best served their hall, community, and set an example for their peers through their contribution to residence life within their freshman year.
4. Outstanding Sophomore Leader: The recipient of this award must have best served their hall, community, and set an example for their peers through their contribution to residence life within their sophmore year.
5. Outstanding Junior Leader: The recipient of this award must have best served their hall, community, and set an example for their peers through their contribution to residence life within their junior year.
6. Outstanding Senior Leader: The recipient of this award must have best served their hall, community, and set an example for their peers through their contribution to residence life within their senior year.
7. Hall Government President of the Year: The recipient must have served as President of his or her Hall Government and given quality service to IRHC and the residence hall community. One recipient shall be awarded each year.
8. Hall Government Executive of the Year: The recipient must have served as a Hall Government executive member and given quality service to IRHC and the residence hall community. One recipient shall be awarded each year.
9. Hall Government Member of the Year: The recipient must have given quality service to his/her hall community without being a Hall Government executive member. One recipient shall be awarded each year.
10. Outstanding Custodial Worker: The recipient of this award is the best representative of fostering community, assisting students, and mentoring residents through their contribution to residence life within the academic year.
11. Outstanding Hall Manager: The recipient of this award is the best representative of assisting students and residents through their passion and contribution to residence life within the academic year.
12. Outstanding Hall Government Advisor: The recipient of this award is to the advisor who best assisted, advised, and mentored Hall Government development throughout the academic year. The recipient of this award cannot be apart of the residence life Assistant Director team, or an advisor to IRHC or NRHH.
13. Outstanding Receptionist: The recipient of this award has fulfilled the expectations of the receptionist position and has worked beyond those expectations to consistently assist the residence hall community.
14. Outstanding Night Staff: The recipient of this award has fulfilled the expectations of the night staff position and has worked beyond those expectations to consistently assist the residence hall community.
15. Outstanding Male Resident Assistant: The male recipient of this award has best exemplified the qualities if mentorship, leadership, and service to their residence hall. Through their outstanding service, they have reached above and beyond the expectations of the position in their positive contribution to residence life.
16. Outstanding Female Resident Assistant: The female recipient of this award has best exemplified the qualities if mentorship, leadership, and service to their residence hall. Through their outstanding service, they have reached above and beyond the expectations of the position in their positive contribution to residence life.
17. Outstanding Maintenance Worker: The recipient of this award is the best representative of fostering community, assisting students, and mentoring residents through their contribution to residence life within the academic year.
18. Steve Crudup NRHH Member of the Year: The Steve Crudup Outstanding Member of the Year award is given each year to someone who has displayed quality service specifically to NRHH, as well as contributed to the overall goals of NRHH.
19. Dr. Adrienne Otto Frame Distinguished Service Award: The Dr. Adrienne Otto Frame Distinguished Service Award is given each year to someone who has a history of providing outstanding and devoted service to the development and success of Residence Life during a significant amount of time exceeding one year.
20. Paige D Crandall Extra Mile: The recipient of the Paige D. Crandall Extra Mile award must have displayed the willingness to do much more than is required or expected during his or her outstanding service of at least one year to the residence hall community.
21. IRHC Honorary Award: The recipient of the IRHC Honorary Award must have given four semesters of hall government service to the residence halls. Two semesters of direct service must have been to IRHC. Also, the recipient must have provided quality service to the improvement and success of hall government and/or IRHC.
22. Dr. Rita Moser Hall of Fame Award: The individuals receiving the Dr. Rita Moser Hall of Fame award have served at least 8 semesters in a leadership position in Residence Life and, during this time, have provided many significant contributions to the success of Residence Life here in University Housing at FSU. This award, which highlights dedicated, lengthy and exemplary performance, is a reflection of the service of Dr. Rita Moser, who served 32 years in University Housing, 23 of those being as the Director of Housing from 1988 to 2011.
